When we were in the hospital we were using the Ameda Elite breast pump which was making me sore and had a hard time maintaining equal suction on both sides. Before I was released from the hospital my husband bought the Medela Professional Symphony Electric Breast Pump and I love it!

Although the parts of the Symphony are slightly harder to wash it is a far superior machine.The breast shields are smoother and more comfortable.The one knob operation is very easy and intuitive. I don't know why exactly, but it is the only Medela machine rated for use with preemie babies. It is making my preemie experience a lot better. (Posted on 2/24/10)

When I had my preemie two months ago, I was told by the hospital staff that Medela made a specific hospital grade breast pump for preemies. It is a bit expensive but I owe my life to this breast pump.

Any I did a lot of research and found finally got it at heyyoubaby.com for the best price.
