I LOVe the Ameda Purely Yours Electric Breast Pump. My girls ended up being born 8 weeks early and this allowed me to pump exclusively until the girls were ready to nurse - 3 months later! No need to rent a pump - this is a good as you can get without owning a huge cumbersome hospital unit. Plus, the car adapter was a must with me. I pumped while driving (not sure what the cops would have thought about that - but mom has to do what she has to do).Then it can take batteries - great if you want to take it to the county fair or a sporting event.Plus, it is totally compatible with all hospital pump parts (made by Ameda - my hospital used ameda).

Any way - this Ameda Purely Yours Electric Breast Pump saved me money on formula (I probably would have given up if my supply dwindled - but this pump kept it up there) and it allowed me to get out of the house.This thing was my best friend for 3 months straight. I bought the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump after hearing that it was well liked by other people who owned it and that it was half the price of the Medela Pump in Style. The Ameda pump is satisfactory -I found it's also easy on sore nipples, I like the ability to adjust both the speed and the amount of suction. It is also small enough to carry easily if needed. Another plus of the Ameda breast pump is that there is no way that the milk can ever get into the tubing due to the pump design.easy to clean.The collection bottles come with handy lids so that I can keep the bottle in the fridge until I fill it up from pumping. And comes with a guide book.
And also Very portable you can use a 6 AA batteries or AC adapter. (Posted on 12/29/09)

I bought the Ameda Pump In Style double electric pump (they used Ameda pumps at the hospital, so I knew I liked Ameda pumps and it's a LOT cheaper than the Medela pumps and just as good from everything I've read). I love it. The suction is great, and its really easy to use. Cleaning is very easy as well. I'll be buying one as a gift for my sister in-law as well. (Posted on 12/20/09)
